To Whom it May Concern
To Whom it May Concern
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN is an exhibition about potential. About ideas that did not make it. About the invisible side of artistic labor: writing proposals, making budgets, sketching ideas and waiting to hear back.
Taking inspiration from the Skissernas Museum in Lund, Sweden, which collects and exhibits sketches, models, and drafts for art in public space (both realized and unrealized works, including those that did not make it through selection processes), this installation transfers that attention to process into the mais uno +1 project space. The intention is not to frame the unrealized as failure but to acknowledge how value is assigned and how much creativity exists outside institutional validation.
The title TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN refers not only to the language of application letters, but also to the faceless, anonymous nature of many application processes. This exhibition reclaims that phrase and turns it into a form of collective address. An invitation to share the quiet weight of unrealized work and to recognize it as part of the artistic process.
