Trying To Get Under The Surface
Trying To Get Under The Surface
In the format of gatherings taking place inside the Picoas metro station, we read aloud short stories, essays, articles or pre-chosen parts of publications. Originated from an idea of Community Economies iceberg, representing diverse economic relations, as a purpose of literal trying to see below the surface in neoliberal capitalism. Here knowledge sharing can become a tool for our collective imagination reaching beyond today’s society limitations.
Through practice of deep listening explained by Pauline Oliver’s as one that „involves in going below the surface of what is heard, expanding to the whole field of sound while finding focus” – we’re exploring connections to one another, our environment and its habitants. Bridging together authors and any (complex) concepts, that might keeps us up at night.
These sessions might spark some discussions or even action, or maybe just offer what’s possible. If you have any ideas for publications to read together or want to get involved in this project feel free to contact us maisunomaisum@gmail.com; juliakatarzynadzbik@gmail.com
